Spiritual awakening or enlightenment gets a lot of hype. Deservedly so, as it is the most sublime potential of a human being’s life. But it’s not without its rocky and bumpy terrain, and its unfoldment is often misunderstood. It can be painful and messy as emotional material from the shadows surfaces or energetic shifts take place. But a clean-up happens at all stages on the path. How can we surrender to these powerful currents of healing and clearing as our realizations deepen? Humor, curiosity, and compassion are a potent medicine. I'll share my own experience and invite all of us to explore the divine mess of awakening.
