Many people interested in nondual teachings are critical of the dualistic framework of the more traditional religions that distinguish between human beings and God/the Divine, including Christianity. But it is worth asking:
- What was/is Jesus really teaching?
- Is there a meeting ground between nondual teachings and those of Jesus?
- What happens when people who are in a more traditional Christian framework have significant awakening experiences that take them beyond the duality of human and God? How do they understand the teachings of Jesus, and what are their Christian beliefs and practices in the light of these experiences?
- And to the extent that we have roots in one of the traditional religions, how can we appreciate and integrate into our spiritual lives what is still valuable from these traditions?
